Modesta P-01A is a paint coating primer developed to work in perfect synergy with Modesta’s advanced glass coatings, while also functioning as a unique finishing polish with filling properties. This innovative product is engineered to enhance the performance and visual impact of glass coatings by forming a thick, bi-layered membrane on the paint surface. When used in combination with Modesta’s glass coatings, P-01A significantly amplifies gloss, clarity, and the richness of reflections, bringing out a stunning depth in the vehicle’s finish that is otherwise difficult to achieve.

One of the key challenges in working with hard glass coatings is achieving consistent application in thick layers. P-01A addresses this challenge effectively by acting as a bridge between the paint and the coating. It facilitates smoother, more uniform application and improves the coating’s adherence to the paint surface. This effect mimics the role of a crosslinker, enhancing the chemical bond between the substrate and the coating, which ultimately boosts the durability and long-term protective performance of the glass coating. The use of hardening-type coatings over an alkyd resin primer such as P-01A is a refined professional technique that is producing exceptional results in terms of esthetics, durability and performance.

Formulated with a unique resin closely related to those found in automotive paints, Modesta P-01A forms a durable film with a thickness of up to 8μm. This film can hide light surface imperfections and micro-marring without relying on abrasives, preserving the integrity of the paint during preparation. As a result, it enables Modesta installers to achieve a flawless, mirror-like finish with significantly reduced cutting or correction of the clear coat. Furthermore, P-01A does not contain nor rely on temporary fillers, oils, or glazes often found in less advanced products, that tend to wash away quickly or compromise long-term protection.
